We are the most intelligent species–
Connected the world
With only pipes.
Built towers
With only drawings.
Berated nature
Into civilization.
But all I see are fools.
Fools that burn our forests
Into the ground.
Fools that murder our animals
Into extinction.
Fools that judge our Earth
Rather than be judged by it.
We are the most intelligent species–
Full of complaints
About worldly problems.
Yet we seldom remember
We suffer from our own humanity.
