Quilt Square #37
From organizing neighbors to restore urban creeks to providing hands-on environmental education to local students, The Watershed Project has spent over 25 years helping Bay Area communities build climate resilience through nature-based solutions. They focus on empowering frontline communities to lead restoration and adaptation projects. For example, they helped to facilitate the community design process for a shoreline adaptation plan in North Richmond.
In this 30-minute podcast episode, Executive Director Juliana Gonzalez (pictured) and Community Engagement Manager Natalie Matias share how they’re bringing communities together to protect their local watersheds.
These quilt squares feature republished episodes from the Everyday Climate Champions podcast produced by the Climate Reality Bay Area chapter, a citizen storytelling partner for KneeDeep. All podcasts include transcripts and follow up links.
